GM ASEP students travel to Oshawa GM test track and Elevation Centre

April 29, 2024

This past week, the GM ASEP students alongside professors Jason Dmuchalsky, Colin Edgar, Allan Gault, Gerrit Walker and Randy Scott were afforded a rare opportunity to visit the GM facility situated in Oshawa, Ont. This invaluable experience not only provided them with the privilege of firsthand encounters riding on the test track in a 2024 EV Hummer, 2024 EV Chevy Blazer and EV Cadillac Lyriq, but also allowed them to observe prototype vehicles and gain insight into the meticulous testing and manufacturing processes overseen by the GM engineers.

This immersive tour served as a pivotal learning opportunity, enabling our students to familiarize themselves with the forefront of automotive technology and witness firsthand the direction of the industry towards electric vehicles.

We would like to thank Diane Czekaj Flintoff, National Product Service Training and ASEP Manager, the General Motors family, Jason Dmuchalsky, GM ASEP Coordinator and Randy Scott, Product Service Coordinator for organizing this amazing opportunity for the students.
